If you’re an individual or senior in London or surrounding cities struggling with an overgrown lawn, neglected yard, or unable to clear snow from your driveway this winter, SGMOWING offers free community lawn care and snow removal help for eligible residents.
Overgrown lawns can quickly become overwhelming — whether life got busy, health challenges got in the way, or the property simply became difficult to manage. That’s exactly why this volunteer-driven community service exists. SGMOWING helps eligible residents in London, Ontario and surrounding areas with free overgrown lawn mowing, yard cleanup, grass cutting, lawn maintenance, and property cleanup services at absolutely no cost. No judgement, no hidden fees — just neighbours helping neighbours.

For properties that are too overgrown for a standard lawn mowing service, SGMOWING can schedule an in-person assessment to review the condition of the yard and determine the safest and most effective lawn restoration plan. Services may include tall grass cutting, brush cleanup, edging, trimming, debris removal, lawn restoration, and general yard recovery.
During winter, snow and ice can become a serious safety concern for seniors and individuals with mobility limitations. If you are a senior citizen in London, Ontario or surrounding areas who is unable to safely shovel snow or clear your driveway and walkways, SGMOWING may provide free snow removal assistance for qualifying residents. Community snow clearing, driveway shoveling, sidewalk clearing, and ice management services are provided based on availability and weather conditions.
This is community volunteer work completed by SGMOWING after our regular weekly service routes, typically on Fridays. Due to the high volume of requests, we are currently able to help one person or family per week. Priority is always given to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and residents who are genuinely in need of assistance.
Please fill out the request form only if you genuinely need assistance. This helps us prioritize and support individuals and families who are facing real challenges and require community help the most.
While we wish we could help everyone, unfortunately SGMOWING may not be able to respond to or assist every request. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and support for this community initiative.
